Electric Fireplaces
Every electric fireplace we carry, from Napoleon and Dimplex. Electric models install without a gas line, venting, or a chimney, which makes them the most flexible option for bedrooms, basements, condos, and any wall where running a flue isn't practical. Heat runs independently of the flame on most models, so the fire can stay on year-round.

Napoleon or Dimplex
Napoleon builds smart control into the range: WiFi and voice control through Alexa and Google Home across the Elevation, Elevation X, and Astound series. The Elevation X pairs a high-definition LCD rear panel with multi-layer virtual flames and built-in crackling speakers. Astound adds a frameless, ultra-wide viewing area with flip-down glass for swapping between logs and crystals.
Dimplex offers the broader size range, from 30-inch retrofit fireboxes up to 100-inch linear built-ins, plus the IgniteXL Bold two- and three-sided configurations for corner, bay, and peninsula walls. If you need an unusual size or a multi-sided install, start here.
Installation and Power
Because there is no combustion, there is no gas line, no chimney, and none of the flue clearance rules that govern gas. Recess into a framed wall for a flush, finished face, or wall-mount where opening up the wall is not practical. Plug into a standard 120V outlet, or hardwire for a cord-free finish. Select Dimplex models also offer 240V operation for higher heat output, which needs to be wired in before the wall is closed up.

How to Choose an Electric Fireplace
We carry electric fireplaces from Napoleon and Dimplex. Because there's no combustion, the decision comes down to look, size, and how you want it mounted — not venting or fuel.
Pick Your Shape of Fire
- —Linear built-in — A wide, frameless band of fire. The modern default, and the widest selection we carry.
- —Multi-sided — Two- and three-sided units for corner, bay, and peninsula walls.
- —Traditional firebox — A contained, framed fire with a log set, suited to a classic hearth or a masonry retrofit.

Do electric fireplaces need venting or a gas line?
No. There's no combustion, so there's no gas line, no venting, no chimney, and none of the flue clearance rules that govern gas fireplaces. That's the main reason people choose electric — it installs in bedrooms, basements, condos, and interior walls where gas isn't an option.
Will an electric fireplace actually heat my room?
Treat it as supplemental heat, not a furnace replacement. On a standard 120V circuit most models warm roughly 400–500 sq ft. Some models offer 240V operation for meaningfully higher output — if heating matters, plan that in before the wall is framed. Heat also runs independently of the flame on most units, so you can have the fire on year-round without the heater.
Napoleon or Dimplex — how do I choose?
Napoleon builds WiFi and voice control into the range, and the Elevation X adds an LCD flame with crackling sound. Dimplex offers the broader size range — from 30" fireboxes up to 100" linear — plus multi-sided IgniteXL Bold configurations for corner and bay walls. If you want smart control out of the box, look at Napoleon. If you need an unusual size or a multi-sided install, look at Dimplex.
Built-in or wall-mount?
Built-in recesses into a framed wall for a flush, finished face and is the better-looking result in almost every case. Wall-mount hangs on the surface and is the practical choice when you can't open up the wall — a rental, a masonry wall, or a finished basement. Some models support both.
